FOUNDER STORY
Scientist: Nguyen Phuong Dung
In 1999, scientist Phuong Dung went to the US. A professor told her: “Vietnamese people are dying in a medicinal forest.” A company in the US invited her to stay and work with a salary of 150,000 USD per year, but she refused. Returning to Vietnam, she and her teacher, Prof. Dr. Dai Duy Ban, focused on researching herbal products. In 2013, the Bio-Active Alkali Research Project officially started. In 2016, for the first time, a team of scientists successfully researched an organic alkaline compound with a pH of 13–14, the highest on the alkaline scale. Alkaline compound is colorless, transparent, and sparkling, so we named it Sapphire, meaning as clear and precious as the sapphire stone.

Activated technology in biological alkaline production is the process of converting from herbal compounds into micro molecules in special solution to form alkaline.
This technology is recognized by the Department of Food Safety – Ministry of Health to meet GMP standards and the Institute for standard and quality development studies (ISSQ) to meet ISO standards.
